Cassie the Cassowary

Cassie the cassowary. He’s bold. He’s charismatic. He’s a statement. Cassowaries are known for their bright and colourful appearance. They’re glossy black feathers, brilliant blue face and distinctive casque on their head. 

Did you know these birds are considered living fossils? They belong to a linage that dates back millions of years ago, offering a glimpse into the history of our planet - that’s pretty cool! They also play an important part in the ecosystem, as they eat a variety of fruits and then spread the seeds far and wide, contributing to the diversity of the forests they call home.
